Sound and Human Interaction

22 - 26 October 2011, Oxford UK - The chants that Bruce teaches are in effect the music of the spheres—ancient audio technology developed by the Taoists thousands of years ago for people to activate their eight energy bodies and weave them together. In this course, Bruce will teach the sound frequencies of Taoist meditation liturgies and apply their energetic power to verbal and nonverbal communication, including partner exercises tailored to the unique group energy.

In this course, Bruce will teach the sound frequencies of Taoist meditation liturgies and apply their energetic power to verbal and nonverbal communication, including within groups.

Potential meditation topics include:

  • Learning to shift energetic frequencies with sound and vibration in yourself and between others through the principles of the eight energy bodies (as Bruce does in his teachings)
  • Solo practices, including Inner and Outer Dissolving and energy channel work
  • Using energy work to mitigate or resolve anger, depression and limiting negative self-images, such as stretching, opening, relaxing or releasing the eyes
  • Crossing the bridge from solo energy work to being in groups, integrating energetics in interactive communication practices, such as expression of emotion and thought—verbally and nonverbally
  • An introduction to Taoist morality and ethics
  • Moving past being overly passive or rigidly aggressive.

Beyond the energetic methods themselves, other areas to be explored are:

  • Suppression of and the inability to express emotions, especially love and joy
  • The inability to know and say what you want, something that leads to passive aggression and lack of spontaneity and free or relaxed expression
  • Hidden agendas that freeze or impede the flow in groups
  • Enhancing stability to express attraction and desire since suppressing these inhibits or even destroys the capacity to open up to love, joy, spontaneity and the free flow of human communication in virtually any situation.
